Terms of Service
The terms that govern your use of StratusLog. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them.

1. Agreement
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) form a binding agreement between you (or the school you represent) and Stratus Marketing LLC (“StratusLog,” “we,” “us”) governing your access to and use of the StratusLog website, web app, and any related mobile apps (collectively, the “Service”).
If you are using the Service on behalf of a flight school or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it current. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account and for safeguarding your password. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create a paid account. Minors may appear as student records entered by school staff.
3. Free trial and billing
- Free trial. We offer a 7-day free trial for new schools. No credit card is required during the trial.
- Subscription. After the trial, paid plans are $9 USD per active instructor per month, billed monthly in advance, unless a different rate is stated in writing.
- Taxes. Stated prices are exclusive of any taxes, levies, or duties imposed by your jurisdiction. You are responsible for those amounts.
- Renewal. Plans renew automatically each month until you cancel. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle.
- Refunds. Monthly subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
- Price changes. We may change prices on 30 days' notice. Changes will not affect any period for which you have already paid.
- Payment processing. Payments are processed by Stripe and subject to Stripe's terms. Invoicing of your students is also handled through your school's Stripe Connect account.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to violate any law, regulation, or third-party right.
- Upload malware, spam, or content you do not have the right to share.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without our written consent.
- Use the Service to harass, defame, or invade the privacy of others.
- Resell, sublicense, or white-label the Service without our written consent.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except where law permits.
- Interfere with other users' access to the Service or impose unreasonable load on our infrastructure.
5. Your data
You retain all rights to the data you input into the Service (flight records, student records, school configuration, etc., “Customer Data”). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, and transmit Customer Data solely to provide and improve the Service.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload and process the personal data of your instructors and students, and for complying with applicable privacy laws when you do.
6. Our intellectual property
The Service, including software, design, brand, and content (other than Customer Data) is owned by Stratus Marketing LLC or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.
7. Third-party services
Integrations with Stripe, Google, Calendly, and others are governed by those providers’ own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services and do not endorse them.
8. SMS / text message terms
StratusLog and participating flight schools may offer SMS/text messaging for service-related communications, including lesson reminders, schedule confirmations or changes, billing/payment notices, account alerts, and support updates. Message frequency varies based on your account activity and school settings; a typical user may receive up to two messages per month, while active scheduling or billing workflows may generate additional operational messages.
By opting in, you authorize StratusLog and/or your flight school to send text messages to the mobile number you provide. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help. Reply STOP to opt out. After you reply STOP, we may send one final confirmation message and then stop texting that number unless you opt in again.
Verbal opt-in may be used for service-related messages where permitted. When collecting verbal consent, our staff or your school must clearly describe the service, the kinds of messages you will receive, message frequency, message/data-rate terms, HELP and STOP instructions, and links to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. You must give explicit consent by answering “yes” or “no.” If you answer yes, your enrollment should be confirmed.
Marketing or promotional SMS messages require written consent, such as selecting a checkbox on a website, providing a signature, or opting in by text. Verbal consent alone is not sufficient for marketing text messages.

9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty arising from course of dealing or usage of trade.
StratusLog is not a substitute for a pilot’s legal logbook obligations or for a school’s regulatory record-keeping. You remain responsible for compliance with 14 CFR and applicable aviation regulations.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party will be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or revenues, arising out of or in connection with the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim or (b) USD $100.
11. Indemnification
You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Stratus Marketing LLC and its affiliates from any claim arising out of (a) your Customer Data, (b) your violation of these Terms, or (c) your violation of any law or third-party right.
12. Termination
You may cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these Terms or for non-payment, with notice where practical. Sections that by their nature survive termination will continue to apply (including IP, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute resolution).
13. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will give you reasonable advance notice by email or in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The parties agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Denver, Colorado for any dispute not subject to arbitration.
